What you give us directly

• Project details you share with us, like budget, timeline, or brand goals
• Anything else you tell us during a call or in correspondence

What we collect automatically

When you browse the Site, we may automatically collect:

• Your IP address and approximate location (city or country level)
• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• Pages viewed, time spent on the Site, and the site that referred you
• Standard server log data

What we get from other places

If a client, partner, or platform like Behance, Instagram, or LinkedIn refers you to us, we may receive your name and contact details as part of that referral.

The Site may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to understand how visitors use it. Cookies are small files stored on your device when you browse.

Where cookies aren't strictly necessary for the Site to run, we'll ask for your consent before they're set. This is required under Nigeria's Data Protection Act 2023 and the EU's GDPR alike. You can change your mind anytime through the Site's cookie settings or your browser.

We don't use cookies to sell your data or to serve you third-party ads.

We use what we collect to:

• Respond to enquiries and schedule calls
• Understand how people use the Site so we can improve it
• Keep the Site secure and working properly
• Meet legal and accounting obligations
• Communicate with you about a project you've engaged us for

Depending on the situation, our basis for processing your information is your consent, the steps needed to enter into or carry out a contract with you, or our legitimate interest in running and improving the Site.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for unrelated marketing without your permission.

We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us run the Site and our business. This includes Calendly (call scheduling), Cloudinary (image and video hosting), and our hosting, email, and analytics providers. Each one only processes your data to provide their service to us.
• Professional advisors, such as accountants or lawyers, when needed.
• Legal authorities, if required by law, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our clients or the public.
• A buyer or successor, if 9—41 Studio is ever sold or restructured. Your information would transfer as part of that deal.

We're based in Nigeria and work with people around the world, so your information may be processed in Nigeria or in other countries where our service providers operate, including the United States and the European Union.

Where we transfer personal data outside Nigeria, we do so in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, using appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, or by relying on providers that maintain adequate data protection standards.

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here, or as long as the law requires. Enquiry and project information is generally kept for the length of our working relationship, plus a reasonable period after for legal and accounting records.

You can ask us to delete it sooner. See Section 8.

We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect your information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or disclosure. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't promise absolute protection, but we work to keep your information safe.

Wherever you're based, you generally have the right to:

• Know what personal data we hold about you
• Get a copy of it
• Correct anything inaccurate
• Ask us to delete it
• Object to or limit certain processing
• Withdraw consent, where processing depends on it

If you're in Nigeria: these rights are protected under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, enforced by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

If you're in the EEA or UK: you have the rights above under the GDPR, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you're a California resident: you have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what we collect and the right to request deletion. We don't sell personal information, so there's no "opt out of sale" needed.

The Site is built for businesses and professionals. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.

The Site links to third-party sites, including client work, social platforms, and Calendly. We aren't responsible for how those sites handle your data. Check their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

We may update this policy from time to time, to reflect changes in how we operate or in the law. We'll update the effective date above when we do. If a change is significant, we'll make that clear on the Site.
